I bought this Alderwood Smoked Sea Salt to enhance my short ribs recipie. I made chocolate stout braised short ribs and this salt really worked nicely with all of the combinations of spices. The recipe calls for curry, dark brown sugar, cumin, and cocoa powder as a rub before searing, I had to use a little more salt than normal since this sea salt doesn't seem to taste as salty as other sea salt brands. I also dusted the short ribs with the salt after they were finished, I recommend doing the same after you grill or cook any meat since it's tough to judge how much you need.
